Grab your sketchbook. Let’s add more colour.

Fill your sketchbook with colour, imagination and marks that feel like yours. So you can get out of your head and back into the joy of making.

Starting a painting can be intimidating.

You second-guess your colours and every mark you put on paper. This only makes you want to ditch your sketchbook rather than try again.

But your art was never meant to look like anyone else’s, because it’s yours… and your choice of colour and wonky lines have more character than any perfect piece of art.

Hey! I’m Susan.

I used to think there was a ‘right’ way to paint or be an ‘artist.’ I stopped creating for a decade when life got full. Grief and a 30-day challenge led me back to an old sketchbook I hadn’t touched in a decade. Everything changed from there.

What began as a 30-day experiment grew into 100 days. A gum tree in a willow class and a beautiful creative comeback.

My sketchbook and colour are my roots. Everything I create and teach starts there. Trust your marks and fill your pages with colours that call to you.
